First-time setup

Where CartPops lives in wp-admin, and what each settings tab does.

CartPops works as soon as you activate it. The drawer opens when a shopper adds a product to the cart. This page shows where to find the settings so you can adjust it.

Open the CartPops settings

In wp-admin, go to WooCommerce > CartPops. You need permission to manage WooCommerce to see this page.

The page has a left menu, a Save Changes button at the top, and an Unsaved changes indicator that appears when you have edits to save. Press Cmd/Ctrl+S to save, and Cmd/Ctrl+Z to undo.

  • Layout covers position and size (left or right, desktop and mobile width), animation, and behavior such as the undo option after removing an item, the coupon code field and how product names appear.
  • Design has design presets (Default, Minimal, Bold and Ocean) and individual colors.
  • Shipping meter is a Pro feature.

Advanced

Has two tabs: General and Integrations.

General includes:

  • Enable CartPops: turn off all CartPops front-end features.
  • Open drawer on: choose Add to cart or Launcher click only.
  • WooCommerce Mini Cart: Integration mode, either Replace (the CartPops drawer replaces the WooCommerce Mini Cart) or Standalone (both operate independently).
  • Custom CSS, Performance, Import / Export for settings, and Reset to defaults.

Integrations shows whether CartPops has an integration for your active theme, and lets you choose a cart icon, behavior and colors for it. It also lists the supported themes.

Add the drawer and launcher to your theme

  • Block themes: open the Site Editor and add the CartPops Cart Drawer and CartPops Cart Launcher blocks. Pro also adds the CartPops Shipping & Rewards Meter block.
  • Classic themes: the drawer and launcher render in the footer automatically. You do not need to add anything.
